DBA Nubians

Another of my older armies that I managed to get photgraphed, ancient Nubians, again for DBA. This army has never performed well for me, but for some reason I still like it, even if it's just for the look of it! All figures are Caesar 1:72.

Bow (Bw) General, flanked by 2 warbands (Wb):

5 Psiloi (Ps) units. (Not very effective, but can be really annoying to play against!!

The main units of the army, 7 bow (3Bw) armed elements:

Thanks for looking! :-)

Sumerians

I've had this army for DBA painted for some time, but I've just never gotten around to photographing it. (Like a lot of my figures really!) Until now! :-D I have no idea whether this will be "legal" for DBA 3, but regardless, it's one of my favourite armies to play with.

All figures are Hat 1:72

First up, is the Command Chariot and another chariot (Kn elements)

The backbone of the army, Sumerian pikemen (6 Pk elements)

Finally we have support troops and a handy blade element. Auxiliary (Ax) element [left], Blade (Bd) element [centre], and 2 Psiloi (Ps) elements [right and front centre]

Vikings!!!

I have a game of Song of Blades and Heroes (http://songofblades.blogspot.com/) coming up that we are using in a Dark Age Setting, Vikings vs Saxons. First up is the Viking Warband, which includes options

The complete raiding party:

The Leader/Hero (left) and the miniature to be used as a Beserker (right). I decided that only one figure in a warband can be a beserker, and although he has a high combat value, the quality is quite low to the lack of control over someone dosed up on drugs or bloodlust!

These guys are the better armed warriors (good combat rating), who are more reliable (good quality)

Archer support:

And lower quality hirdmen:

Up next (in this category) will be the Saxons, and then a Battle Report or two in a couple of weeks time.

Plastic Fantasy Monster

Another figure painted in the last week or so. This is a goblinoid creature, 1:72 scale from Caesar Miniatures as part of their "Adventurers" box. I have some of the characters from the box painted up, but the bases aren't complete yet. Hopefully I should get around to doing them soon:

Games Workshop Cadian Sgt

Like many, my aim is to complete painting all of the figures I have in my collection! To that I've managed to get started with a couple of random figures I had lying around.

First up is a Games Workshop Cadian Sgt:

Egyptian DBA army

I've been using this DBA army for some time now, but have just never gotten around to taking photos of it!!! There are a couple of elements missing, but as these are auxiliary troops (Nubians, Lybians, etc) I'll include these in photos of the respective armies in later posts!! :-)

Anyway, the entire force cost about £12, with lots of troops left over, which I will be using to start off an Impetus Egyptian army at some point. Got to love those plastics!!!! :-D

For some reason I can't seem to get a balance right with the brightness of my photographs, but I'll keep trying! :-D

English Civil War Regiment

I've just a finished this regiment of ECW infantry. I had in mind a long time ago to do an ECW project, but just never got around to it.

These are for sale here:

24 men, 4 command figures, 6 pikemen, and 14 musketeers. (The flash is a little bright on some of the pictures, so apologies about that!)

Hopefully this is the start of me being able to get my backlog of miniatures completed!
