American Rebellion British Infantry

Howdy all,

Well, after an hiatus of a couple of months, due to wedding, honeymoon, illness and house move, I've finally got around to getting my first post in my new home completed.

I've been working on a number of different projects since we moved in, Dust Warfare, Warhammer/Kings of War, and the subject of this post.

I've had these Perry Miniatures pretty much since they were released, but have never really had the opportunity to get them painted up. But now I have, and here they are :-) I haven't done the bases, as I will be selling these on, as it's not a project I intend to carry with, primarily because I have so much else to do.

If you like these, please check out the auction: EBAY AUCTION

As always, thanks for looking.

Austrian Napoleonics

I picked up a box of the Strelets 1:72 Allied Staff recently, and have had the opportunity to paint up the Austrian figures from it. This is a great set of figures, with 35 sculpts representing various characters from the Napoleonic era. The Austrian figures are: Emperor Francis, Archduke Charles, Karl Philipp Prince of Schwarzenberg, A General, 2 Senior Officers, an Office, an ADC, and 2 Infantry Officers.

I also finished up one of the British Officers as well:

IF you are interested in the Austrians, they can be purchased here: Ebay Auction

Thanks again for looking :-)

Zulu War Project

Hi all!

I've been working on a project I had planned a year ago, but have only just gotten around to starting recently: The Zulu War for Principles of War. All figures are 1:72 plastics from Hat, A Call to Arms, and Esci. (Apologies for the poor quality of the photographs!) I've had a long running interest in this period, like many others I'm sure, which started with my dad showing me Zulu! And now that Hat have brought out some of their long awaited miniatures, I'm able to get this project going.

The collection so far includes the 1/24th Foot, Naval Brigade, 2 Royal Artillery batteries, and a few casualty markers.

I have some mounted infantry and the 99th foot on the painting table. I'm just waiting for Hat to release their Natal Native Infantry and British command and I will almost have all of the figures I need. And I've recently found out that they are planning some colonial dragoons!!!!

I am, however, struggling to find suitable figures to use for the Durban and Victoria mounted rifles. If anyone knows of any manufacturers that make compatible 20mm or 1:72 figures I can use for these, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks for looking

Zulu War - Naval Brigade query

Well, I've not long started a new project, being the Zulu War for the Principle of War ruleset. I have my first couple of British regiments painted, of which photos will be added later.

I asked a question on the Miniatures Page concerning the Naval Brigade, and whether the following is accurate or not, and what changes will need to be made. Hopefully the response will provide me more accurate depiction of the Naval Brigade, and then I'll be able to get cracking on the full unit!

(Sorry about the bluriness of the 1st photo)
